Is The 2018 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Worth $100,000?

It certainly no secret that the Chevrolet Corvette is packing a lot of bravado these days. Over the last couple of generations, GM has really put together a breadwinner here as the Corvette has proven over and over again that it’s combining a package together that provide some of the most bang for your buck in the performance world that you will find. With each rendition of the car, you can’t help but be impressed as the platform is keeping up with or even doing better than many machines that cost twice or three times as much. Performance certainly isn’t everything but it does help when making your decision to buy a car like this.

However, along with that increase in performance every year comes an increase in price. As these cars continue getting nicer and nicer every generation, inside and out, the prices are taking a little bit of a hike as well. With the most recent generation of Corvettes, we have seen the asking price for the Z06 eclipse the hundred thousand dollar mark for the first time. It’s a pretty wild concept to think about just how far these things have come but on the other hand, are they really worth all of that loot? Does Chevrolet have a solid set of feet to stand on when asking so much money for their flagship performance machine?

If you follow the video below, you’ll be able to ride along as the host over at Engineering Explained gets his hands on a C7 Chevrolet Corvette z06 Carbon 65 and tells us all about what he thinks of this car and why exactly he believes that it may or may not be worth that price tag that Chevrolet slapped on board. After watching something like this, it really begs the question, do you think that the price on these things is justified by what you get?
